This changelog is the comprehensive history of Parsec's product changes. Some of the features listed have been deprecated or were changed in later updates. We thought, rather than changing old posts, it would be fun for everyone to see the whole history of the product's development. For a perspective on Parsec's product and our product philosophy, we wrote a blog post in December 2017 about the early history of the Parsec Game Streaming software.

    NEW

    • [Windows] Camera passthrough is now available for Warp/Teams customers. This feature lets you use a Webcam on your Windows client at home, and have it show up on your remote Windows 11 host to go on video calls. At the moment, this feature requires a Windows 10 or 11 client, and a Windows 11 host.

    IMPROVEMENTS

    • [All] The stream overlay has been reordered to improve usability.
    • [Windows/Mac clients] The new UI previously available for Free and Warp users has been disabled for now. We appreciate everyone who tried it out and gave feedback. We may re-introduce it at a later date.
    • [Windows] USB passthrough for Yubikeys is no longer Experimental, and has been renamed to simply be Yubikey Passthrough / Virtual Yubikey.

    BUGFIXES

    • [All] Fixed a rare crash.
    • [Clients] Fixed an issue where the first Teams user to join a computer would be able to see the second and third Parsec sceens without issue, but additional Teams guests might instead have seen the "It looks like something went wrong" black screen depending on their settings.
    • [Windows] Fixed a crash if you have 30 or more audio inputs or outputs.
    • [Windows client] The app no longer needlessly disconnects the Yubikey device from the client or shows Yubikey overlay options when joining macOS hosts, given the feature is only currently implemented for Windows hosts.
    • [Linux/Mac] Fixed crashes caused by bad stored window positioning.
    • [Mac client] Fixed Immersive Mode preventing system hotkeys like Cmd+Tab and Cmd+Space from working locally when the Parsec window isn't in focus.
    • [Windows 150-100a] Resolves a possible crash related to the new Camera passthrough feature.
